The cam lock actually holds tight, which I was worried about since my old strap would slip under any real weight. I can cinch it down or let it out a couple inches mid-walk without taking the bag off, and that alone made it worth it.

Loosening the strap one-handed while the bag's still on my shoulder is way easier than I expected, no more stopping to take it off. The cam lock snaps shut with a solid click so I'm not worried about it slipping mid-walk.
