The wax coating gives the canvas that rugged, distressed look I was after, and it's only gotten better with a few months of daily wear. Rain beads right off it, which I didn't expect from a fabric this stiff and sturdy.

I've had this waxed canvas on my bag for a few months now and the distressed look just keeps getting better with wear. The wax coating picks up scuffs and creases that actually make it look more rugged instead of worn out.
