What the insert can and cannot hold
The insert is designed specifically for the Apple Vision Pro accessories, not the headset itself. It fits inside the Shield Case alongside the headset compartment.
You can store the Light Seal, the Solo Knit Band, the Dual Loop Band, the battery, the power adapter, and the USB-C cable. It does not fit a second battery or a third-party carrying case for the headset.
How to pack the Shield Case Insert
- Place the insert inside the Shield Case: Open the Shield Case and set the insert into the main compartment. The insert has a specific orientation—make sure the pockets face upward and the flat side rests against the case wall. The insert fits snugly; if it shifts, check that you are not forcing it upside down.
- Store the Light Seal in the large pocket: Slide the Light Seal into the largest pocket of the insert. The cushioning keeps the soft mesh from getting squashed. Do not fold or roll the Light Seal—place it flat. A folded Light Seal can develop permanent creases; always store it flat.
- Wrap the bands and place them in the side pockets: Coil the Solo Knit Band and Dual Loop Band loosely and put each into one of the smaller side pockets. Avoid tight coils that stress the knit material. Leaving bands loose in the main case can cause them to snag on the zipper.
- Put the battery and cable in the bottom section: Lay the battery flat in the bottom compartment. Coil the USB-C cable neatly and tuck it beside the battery. Place the power adapter in the remaining space. Do not stack the battery on top of the cable—pressure on the connector can damage the port.
- Close the insert flap and zip the Shield Case: Fold the insert flap over the stored items. The flap has no latch—it stays closed by the pressure of the case lid. Zip the Shield Case completely. If the case bulges, you may have overstuffed the insert. Remove one item or rearrange to distribute the load.
