Hauling my bass amp up three flights of stairs used to leave my shoulder throbbing, but this strap's 4mm neoprene pad actually absorbs the weight instead of digging in. The rubbery texture keeps it from sliding around too, which I didn't expect to notice as much as I do.

The neoprene pad on this actually stays put on my shoulder instead of sliding around like my old strap did. Hauled a heavy gear bag up three flights and barely felt the pressure points. Genuinely surprised how much difference 4mm of padding makes.

Carried a loaded duffel through two airports and my shoulder didn't ache once. That rubbery grip keeps the strap from sliding around, which is what always drove me nuts with my old one.
