The ballistic nylon shell has survived my backpack commute for three months without a single scuff. The fit is snug enough that my MacBook doesn't slide around in there.

The neoprene padding is thicker than I expected, and my laptop survived a full commute in a backpack without a single scratch. Slides into the TSA bin without pulling the machine out, which honestly made airport security way less annoying.

The neoprene padding is thick enough that I don't worry about tossing this in my backpack anymore. Slides in and out easily at airport security too, which I didn't expect to appreciate as much as I do.
